Von der Otto German Shepherds pride our self in being one of the smallest kennels around offering more love and compassion for our German Shepherd Puppies and German Shepherd Dogs then any Kennel you can find anywhere.  As German Shepherd Breeders we do not allow our German Shepherd Breeding Dogs to only know life in a kennel. It is important to us to have happy and healthy German Shepherd Dogs, which is evident when you meet our German Shepherd Dogs and German Shepherd Puppies.  Our kennel was built for the safety and care of our German Shepherd Puppies when we are at work and to have a place for our German Shepherd Females when they are in season, along with males that need to be separated. All our German Shepherd Dogs are rotated daily from the house to the kennel.  We also encourage buyers to come visit our place, even after visiting other Kennels so you can see the difference for yourself. We allow and encourage our new owners to visit their German Shepherd Puppy from birth until they are ready to go home.  This gives our German Shepherd Puppies added love and attention to make them well socialized before they are sent home. One of the most important times in a puppy’s life is the first eight weeks. At most kennels the buyers do not have control over those crucial weeks.  The difference made in the way the German Shepherd Puppies are cared for and handled in the first weeks of their lives is extremely important. During the first four weeks our German Shepherd Puppies are in our home and handled several times a day by different adults and young children. The next two weeks our German Shepherd Puppies are moved to an air conditioned kennel and handled several times daily. The final two weeks, before the German Shepherd Puppies are ready for your home, they are taken outside and familiarized with the elements of the outdoors.
